PROJECT:WORLD
Mark Suter is Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s Associate Principal Percussionist. He is also part of the Grammy Award-winning Silkroad Ensemble started by the legendary musical magician, Yo-Yo Ma.
Inspired by his experience with the group, Mark Suter conceptualised Project:World, an innovative concert performed using unconventional percussion instruments from different cultures and connecting music ideas across borders.

I was engaged by Singapore Symphony Group to design the key visual for the concert.
Percussion music is created through the movement of the performer and his instruments, which is as mersmerising to watch as to listen during a performance.
The visual plays up this captivating motion through applying a blurred treatment to the photography and typography, depicting the musical ‘dance’ that happens on stage.
